Safety is a responsibility of every employee. At JADWA Contracting company we understand that accidents are prevented through cautious planning, appropriate training, and cooperative efforts in all areas of our operations. JADWA Contracting Company Health, safety and environment (HSE) policy and practices center on a zero-harm philosophy towards people, host communities and the environment.

Although the company operates in countries with differing governance standards, it consistently enforces a standard approach to HSE and does not compromise its standards of conduct when operating in projects. All our work is performed in the safest possible manner. The challenges and advancements faced by the construction industry are unique in terms of safety. When methods and techniques have improved in a manner that consistently increasing efficiency and productivity, the accident incidence for construction continues to be a concern, particularly as high-rise buildings are being constructed throughout Kingdom. Effective preventative measures are therefore always identified and implement at all our work sites.

SAFETY IMPLEMENTATION PROCEDURE

  • A first aid box will be available on site with basic first aid equipment and pharmaceutical products
  • JADWA’s site foreman shall be responsible for adopting, applying and enforcing the implementation of all the safety measures on site in accordance with the projects safety manual
  • The safety Engineer will ensure that all works are being carried out in a safe manner according to JADWA’s safety manual
  • Safety Engineer is authorized to issue a warning to the person who does not comply with the safety regulations as per manual
  • In case of personnel injuries covered under the insurance policy, proper medical attention shall be proceeded with and the insurance company shall be notified immediately

SITE CLEANLINESS

  • The cleanliness of a site must be respected; thus the following procedures shall apply
  • All workstations shall be maintained in as clean a state as possible, and any spoil / trash shall be collected at the end of each day
  • A central collection area for spoil, trash and garbage shall be designated.
  • The eating of meals and snacks shall be done in designated areas only.
